Why us?

Octomind is an AI-powered end-to-end test platform for devs that finds bugs before their users do. All we need is your web app’s URL. We auto-generate, run and auto-maintain your UI tests and help debug your code.

Octomind was created out of the passion for data and code quality. The co-founders Marc and Daniel met at their previous AI startup (understand.ai, which successfully exited in 2019), where they encountered never-ending problems with end-to-end testing. They tried many frameworks and tools, but there was nothing that wasn’t a pain for the dev teams to write and maintain, wouldn’t hold back releases or was reasonably priced.

The recent progress in AI models presented a unique opportunity to solve the e2e testing problem at scale. They assembled a team with years of experience in baking AI into software products.

We use our AI agents to discover user flows and interactions leading toward a desired user goal. This serves as the foundation for creating deterministic test cases. We use it for automated test case discovery and are working on expanding it to automated maintenance.

Though not fully open-sourced, we believe in transparency in building software. We build on top of open-source frameworks (Playwright) and open-source CI integrations and debugging tools. Check our GitHub and Docs.

We are a well-attuned team of full-stack and ML engineers who are laser-focused on building the testing tool we wish we always had. We are looking for someone to help us share what we learn with the world and engage with the community.
